Offline Music Player: No Ads · effective September 1, 2026

The short version. The app plays audio files that are already on your device. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking across other apps. Your music, your tags and your playlists never leave your phone. The iPhone version sends anonymous usage counters — how often a screen was opened, whether an import finished — and never anything about what you listen to. The Android version sends none at all.

What we collect

No account, no profile, no advertising identifier, and nothing about your music. We do not know which tracks you have or what you listen to — that information never leaves your device.

On iPhone and iPad the app sends anonymous usage events (for example: the app was opened, an import finished, the paywall was shown) to Amplitude, so we can see which parts of the app people actually use. These events carry no track titles, no artist names and no file names, and they are not linked to your identity: there is no account to link them to.

On Android the app has no analytics at all. It contains exactly one third-party component — the purchase validator described below — and nothing else reports anything.

No advertising identifier is collected on either platform, and nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers.

Where your data lives

Deleting the app removes everything the app made. On Android it does not remove the music that was already on your phone, because that music was never the app's to delete.

Purchases

Optional Premium purchases are processed by Apple on iPhone and by Google on Android. To validate a purchase and restore it on your other devices, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives a random anonymous identifier and the receipt the store issues. RevenueCat does not receive your name, your email address or anything about your music library. We never see your payment details — the store handles payment.

Files and permissions

On iPhone the app reads only the files you pick yourself in the system file picker.

On Android the app asks for permission to read audio on your device, because that is where your music already is. The permission covers audio only: it gives no access to photos, documents, contacts or location, and the app never asks for those. You can refuse it — the player still works with files you hand it yourself.

The optional Wi-Fi transfer feature runs a small web server on your local network while that screen is open, so your computer can send files directly to the phone; nothing is uploaded to the internet.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
